My name is Matthew Segatti and I have always believed in the intrinsic value of nature.  The aquarium illustrates that truth most clearly to me.  We are all part of a greater whole. Our environment is deeply a part of us, as we are a part of it.  And the space that separates us is only an illusion.

What better way to pay homage to my world and renew my sense of peace and belonging than to gaze lovingly at a model of my own nature; an aquarium made completely of life from one pane of glass to the other.

When we develop a healthy ecology within the aquarium we see wonderful benefits to our fish.  To do so we balance plants and fish with fertile soil and moderate light, without over-filtering.

Plants, aside from working for us, also create a beautiful backdrop, which itself can capture the attention.  They grow and change, inspiring life within us.  Their vibrance brightens our days.  Their timelessness fills us with ease.

When I moved to Berkshire County I met a man named Franz Rose, and he had an aquarium.  In that tank I saw something awesome that set me on my course.  It was a big, green plant growing submerged in his aquarium's water.  I was blown away.  I was pining for the aquariums of my youth but unable to take on the commitment of time that their maintenance required.  When I learned of the benefits that aquatic plants lend to creating a healthy, well balanced ecosystem I knew I had found something better than I could ever have imagined.

No system for keeping happy and healthy fish is as simple and beautiful as the ecology of a naturally planted aquarium.

Everyone can enjoy the relaxing and inspiring effects of a beautiful fresh water aquarium.
